The City of Larnaca
Larnaca is the oldest still-inhabited city of Cyprus and was originally known as Kition or Kitium. The city is located on the southern coast of Cyprus and has a population of around 75,000 (2001), making it the third largest city in terms of population. Larnaca is home to a major International Airport and is the island’s second most important commercial port with a nice Marina for yachts. It is also a very popular tourist resort with a rich cultural heritage dating back to the Neolithic times.
